Research Associate in Human Medicine

The Human Medicine programme at the University of Fribourg provides students with both theoretical and clinical-practical training and is offered bilingually – in German and French. Over the three years of study, approximately 400 students at Bachelor level and 120 students at Master level are trained annually. The programme prepares students for the Swiss federal examination in Human Medicine and is based on the national competency framework PROFILES.
The Research Associate is integrated into the Med-Office of the Department of Medicine and works for both degree programmes. They work under the responsibility of the Chairs of the Bachelor and Master Human Medicine Study Commissions and in close collaboration with the coordinators of both programmes.

Your tasks
- Preparation of curricular reporting (student numbers, cohorts, success rates, etc.) and mappings (PROFILES)
- Planning, synthesis, and follow-up of teaching evaluations for Bachelor and Master
- Organisation of teaching certificates (Bachelor and Master)
- Participation in the Bachelor and Master study commissions
- Maintenance of regulations and guidelines as well as contact with the admissions offices of both programmes
- Collaboration on curriculum projects of both programmes, especially the ongoing Bachelor reform
Desired profile
- University degree at Master level (preferably in Medicine or Health Sciences, or Education and Social Sciences, or a related field)
- Experience in project management; familiarity with guidelines and regulations
- Independent, precise, and structured working style as well as strong organisational and communication skills
- Confident use of the MS Office suite; knowledge of institutional platforms (Moodle, SharePoint) is an advantage
- Strong service orientation and enjoyment of working with numerous stakeholders (students, lecturers, study commissions, admissions offices) in a bilingual environment
- Experience in the higher education sector or in medical education is an advantage
- Very good oral and written knowledge of French and German; English skills are an advantage
