Tasks
- Operational management of the Social Directorate with 61 employees
- Promotion of a clear, transparent, and reliable leadership culture
- Ensuring quality, organizational and personnel development
- Preparation and coordination of matters for the city council and parliament
- Participation in commissions and higher-level bodies
- Financial management including budget planning, controlling, and investment programs
- Recognition of social trends and implementation of innovation projects
- Maintenance and expansion of cooperation with municipalities, canton, and professional organizations
- Management of important projects in the areas of aging, health, integration, and prevention
Expectations
Requirements: You have a university or university of applied sciences degree, for example in business administration, law, or social work, complemented by solid leadership training. Several years of leadership experience and a confident sense of management processes are indispensable. Knowledge of the public sector, public management, or social insurance law is an advantage. Very good German skills in spoken and written form are a prerequisite – you know how to convey complex content precisely, clearly, and appropriately for the target audience.
Personality: You are an integral leadership personality with clarity, decisiveness, and enthusiasm for innovation. You create orientation, promote team spirit and trust, and represent even demanding topics confidently and with moderation. Your communication strength and your understanding of social issues allow you to build bridges between politics, administration, and society. Your leadership style is open, cooperative, and solution-oriented, yet characterized by clear lines and responsibility.
