Vocational Trainer*in Emergency Medical Services

Protection & Rescue Zurich (SRZ) unites, as a service department of the Security Department, the professional and militia fire brigades, the sanitation service, as well as the operations control centre (ELZ) for emergency calls 144 and 118. Additionally, civil protection, fire police, and a training centre with an affiliated Higher Technical School for Rescue Professions (HFRB) belong to the largest civilian rescue organisation in Switzerland. Intervention and prevention units protect and rescue people, animals, property, and the environment around the clock in the city of Zurich, at Zurich Airport, and in the agglomeration.

Tasks

• Learning support / coaching of students and contact person for all questions
• Ensuring a high quality standard of practical training
• Active engagement with the professional content of the courses
• Developing learning situations
• Monitoring, documenting, and assessing the training status
• Exchange of experience with other vocational trainers
• Assisting with the induction of new employees

Profile

• Professional experience as a certified paramedic HF with solid and current specialist knowledge
• Very good knowledge of SRZ structures and process flows
• Excellent organisational skills
• High empathy and good communication skills
• Pedagogical skills and possibly experience in the training field
• Enjoyment in participating in exercises / learning days of the students
