The Dermatology and Venereology Department, affiliated with the Department of Medicine , provides diagnostic and therapeutic care for patients with diseases of the skin, mucous membranes, and appendages, including sexually transmitted diseases, taking into account the services provided by other HUG departments.
Job Description
Within the framework of the "Molecular Mechanisms of Skin Ageing" project and under supervision, you will work on implementing the scientific project and conducting experiments.
You will carry out experiments and analyses specific to the field of dermatology.
You will perform routine tasks in medical, biological, or chemical sciences.
You will conduct identifications, assays, titrations, syntheses, as well as various analyses. You will write reports and contribute to the implementation of experimental programmes.
You will install and use the equipment specific to the laboratory where you work, and prepare the reagents and solutions necessary for analyses and experiments.
Qualifications
You hold a Federal VET Diploma (CFC) as a laboratory technician.
You have experience in a research or routine laboratory and possess scientific knowledge enabling you to collaborate on various projects, notably in cell biology, molecular biology (PCR, FACS, Western blot), histopathology, immunohistochemistry, keratinocyte culture, as well as on human and murine skin samples.
A certificate or expertise in animal experimentation is an asset.
You are proficient with computer tools; knowledge of HUG software is an advantage.
You are a conscientious and committed person.
For non-French speakers, a C1 level in French (written and oral) is required, as well as a good command of English.
