The Cantonal Social Office performs diverse, controlling, and operational tasks in social assistance, social insurance, social services, and the asylum sector. Since January 2024, it has been responsible for implementing the Self-Determination Act. This act creates more freedom for people with disabilities in choosing support services in the form of advice, care, and accompaniment. Further information can be found at www.zh.ch/sebe.

To complement our teams in the finance area, we are looking for a Specialist in Financing Processes 60 - 70% starting January 1, 2026, or by agreement.

The position
- You process applications from institutions for investment projects and check their financial feasibility.
- You review documents from institutions to ensure that requirements, especially financial ones, are met.
- You take on tasks related to reviewing the annual funding requests of service providers.
- You are part of the support team for external users of specialized applications.
- You support the Contracting & Controlling teams as well as Billing with further tasks, both professionally and administratively.
- You work on projects, in a team-oriented manner, and engage in diverse professional exchanges with internal and external parties.
Your profile
- You have completed a commercial basic education.
- You can demonstrate relevant professional experience and appropriate further training in the finance sector.
- You are characterized by interdisciplinary thinking and have a strong flair for numbers and administrative processes.
- You preferably have expertise regarding the financing of investment projects.
- You possess up-to-date knowledge in the use of IT systems and their functionalities.
- You appreciate working in a network beyond your specialist area and want to contribute to implementing SEBE and thus the Self-Determination Act introduced in 2024 in a stakeholder-oriented manner.
- You are flexible, resilient, and accustomed to proactively tackling challenges and developing solutions.
- Additionally, you have a quick grasp, a pleasant manner, and communicate appropriately for the target audience.
- You appreciate combining project-oriented work with routine tasks.
