For the Oberland Public Prosecutor's Office in Thun, we are looking for an assistant public prosecutor.
Your tasks
- Support of public prosecutors in all duties and activities prescribed by law
- Secretarial duties, organisation and minute-taking of interrogations of accused persons, witnesses and informants
- File management and monitoring
- Business, appointment and deadline control
- Correspondence with authorities, parties and third parties
- Case-specific on-call service as support for the public prosecutor
Your profile
- Commercial or equivalent training
- Several years of professional experience (preferably in the field of justice, police and/or legal practice)
- You have a flair and interest for legal issues
- You are characterised by reliable, correct and efficient work
- You have a quick grasp and the necessary assertiveness and perseverance
- Your open and communicative manner contributes to a positive atmosphere within the team
- You are a native German speaker and have good oral French skills (B1)

The Public Prosecutor's Office is responsible for enforcing the state's criminal claims. It conducts the preliminary proceedings, prosecutes offences within the framework of investigations, brings charges if necessary and represents these charges in court. In minor cases, it issues a penal order. Organisationally, the Public Prosecutor's Office of the Canton of Bern consists of the General Public Prosecutor's Office, three public prosecutor's offices for the entire canton area (one public prosecutor's office for the prosecution of economic offences, one public prosecutor's office for special tasks and one public prosecutor's office for juvenile criminal matters), as well as four regional public prosecutor's offices (Berner Jura-Seeland, Emmental-Oberaargau, Bern-Mittelland and Oberland).
