Product Owner, Platform

Your Mission

As Product Owner for our Kubernetes-based public cloud platform team, you will help shape and evolve a platform providing shared capabilities for engineering teams across Open Systems.

Your focus is not just to run platform infrastructure, but to treat the platform as a product for internal users. That means understanding how engineers use the platform, where friction exists, and how to make core workflows such as obtaining and using namespaces, deploying services and consuming shared capabilities simpler and more effective.

In this role, you will:

• Participate in shaping the platform vision and execute on the platform priorities with a strong platform-as-a-product mindset.


• Lead and grow an engineering team through coaching, feedback, and clear expectations, fostering a culture of ownership, learning, and continuous improvement.


• Work closely with engineering teams to understand pain points in the day-to-day use of the platform and turn them into clear backlog items.


• Guide the technical direction of a cloud platform and shape its capabilities.


• Improve the developer experience around platform consumption, with a particular focus on self-service, ease of adoption, documentation, and consistent workflows.


• Drive alignment between user needs, platform architecture, and operational excellence, making thoughtful trade-offs between delivery speed, maintainability, and resilience.
  

What You Bring

We are looking for someone who combines product ownership with strong technical judgment and who is excited by the idea of building an internal platform around Kubernetes, namespaces, and shared cloud services.

Required qualifications

• Experience in a Product Owner, Technical Product Manager, Tech Lead, or similar role in a platform, infrastructure, or internal developer platform environment.


• Experience working with cloud-native technologies and modern platform engineering practices.


• A strong platform thinking mindset: you see engineers as customers and aim to provide clear, reusable, and easy-to-consume building blocks.


• University degree in Computer Science or similar educational level


• Proficiency in English.

Nice to have

• You know basic Kubernetes concepts like daemonsets/statefulsets/deployments.


• Knowledge in GitOps principles and CI/CD tooling.


• Knowledge of Linux system administration, networking concepts and major Internet protocols (TCP/IP, IPsec, SSL, SSH, SMTP, HTTPS, DNS).
