In 2024, Swissport International provided professional ground handling services for around 247 million passengers (2023: 232 million) and handled approximately 5 million tonnes of air freight in 117 air freight halls worldwide (2023: 4.7 million). Several of their freight halls are certified by the industry association IATA (CEIV Pharma) and the British MHRA specifically for the demanding handling of pharmaceutical shipments. As of the end of December 2024, Swissport employs around 60,000 staff worldwide and operates at 276 airports in 45 countries across six continents.
To complement the existing team of the "Load Control Services" unit, we are looking for:
CAREER LOAD COORDINATOR
LOCATION | ZURICH AIRPORT
WORKING HOURS | 100% OR PART-TIME MODEL ON AN HOURLY WAGE BASIS
STARTING SALARY | 5000 CHF / MONTH
Your tasks:
- Operational flight monitoring on the apron (arrival and departure)
- Execution of load control and weight & balance tasks (including creation of loading plans, loadsheets)
- Cross-departmental and goal-oriented collaboration with interfaces (flight crew, loading team & passenger service)
- Coordination with the relevant organisations in case of irregularities
- Supervisory activities, such as fueling supervision, etc.
- Operation of passenger bridges
Your profile:
- Completed vocational training with a certificate of competence
- Very good German skills, spoken and written
(native German speaker or equivalent proficiency)
- Very good English skills
- Good PC skills and a flair for numbers
- Knowledge of airport processes and contexts is an advantage
- Good physical constitution and weather resilience
- High flexibility for shift work (Monday – Sunday, 05:00 – 23:30)

We offer:

- Starting salary as Passenger Agent Load Control Services of 5000 CHF / month
- After promotion to Coordinator 1, a salary of 5100 CHF / month

Your training:
You will start your training for the first three months in passenger service. You will get used to the dynamic airport environment and already learn important initial tasks, as well as operating airport equipment. In months four to approximately six, various load control courses await you, which you can already note in your agenda!
