For the further development of our poultry range in Lyss, we are looking for a committed individual with a passion for food, creativity and a good sense of quality and cost-effectiveness. In addition to product development, you will take responsibility for item calculations, bills of materials and defined tasks in quality management.
Product Developer Food – Focus on Poultry, 80–100 %
Your tasks:
- Development of new poultry products for the Swiss retail trade as well as optimisation of poultry items
- Optimisation of existing recipes and manufacturing processes with regard to quality and cost-effectiveness
- Planning and execution of production trials as well as accompanying new products until successful first production
- Responsibility for the creation and maintenance of bills of materials, recipes and product-related master data
- Independent creation, review and maintenance of item calculations
- Assumption and assurance of the defined tasks in quality management as well as participation in compliance with and further development of quality standards
- Active participation in process optimisations and close cooperation with production, sales and purchasing
Your profile:
- Completed training in the food sector, for example as a food technologist or meat specialist
- Experience in product development, ideally with poultry or convenience products
- Good understanding of recipes, production processes, calculations and quality management
- Strong quality and cost awareness as well as a structured and independent way of working
- Creativity, initiative, structured working and enjoyment in taking on responsibility
- Hands-on mentality, team spirit and enjoyment of practical work in production
