Customs Declarant Import Switzerland

Initial Situation

Switzerland imports, Germany exports – and you ensure that customs do not become an obstacle.
We are looking for reinforcement in customs for our client. You take care of Swiss imports and German exports and know what matters in customs declarations, documents, and tariff numbers. You work in a manageable team where everyone knows each other, communicates directly, and does not need to schedule an appointment for every question.

Tasks

• Create and process customs declarations for imports into Switzerland
• Handle export customs clearance in Germany
• Check commercial invoices, delivery notes, and other customs-relevant documents
• Verify customs tariff numbers, country of origin, and relevant information
• Coordinate with customers, freight forwarding partners, and customs authorities
• Resolve queries and discrepancies in customs processing
• Ensure that customs formalities are completed correctly and on time

Requirements

• Completed training in freight forwarding or customs is an advantage
• Professional experience in customs declaration, ideally with Swiss imports and German exports is essential
• Good knowledge of relevant customs regulations and procedures
• Precise and independent working style
• Uncomplicated personality who thinks ahead and perseveres even in tricky cases

Languages

German: very good knowledge
