Programme Coordinator (m/f/d)
The Institute for Spatial and Landscape Development (IRL) at the Department of Civil, Environmental and Geomatic Engineering (D-BAUG) of ETH Zurich operates ETH RAUM, one of the established part-time continuing education programmes in the field of spatial development in Switzerland: the MAS in Spatial Development with three consecutive CAS programmes, complemented by occasional compact courses and event formats. With a broad network of lecturers from academia and practice as well as an active community of students and alumni, ETH RAUM is closely linked to Swiss spatial planning practice.
To strengthen our team, we are looking for a:
Programme Coordinator ETH RAUM (m/f/d) as assistant to the programme management for the MAS/the CAS programmes in Spatial Development with a workload of 40–80% (by arrangement).
Job Description
- You will work closely with the programme management and represent ETH RAUM administratively internally and externally, including towards partner organisations, professional associations and the advisory board.
- You will ensure the administrative and organisational coordination of the three CAS programmes and the MAS in Spatial Development; in particular, you will be responsible for the planning and coordination processes of the module weeks, including scheduling, room reservations and learning platforms (Moodle, Miro).
- You will be the central contact person for students, lecturers and teaching staff as well as for coaches and the advisory board in administrative and organisational matters.
- You will support the programme management in organisational and conceptual issues and actively contribute to the further development of modules, formats and new offerings of ETH RAUM.
- You will accompany the implementation of evaluations as well as the collection and analysis of feedback from students and lecturers and participate in the implementation of improvement measures.
- You will handle the administrative tasks related to registrations and admissions and support adjustments in the ongoing teaching programme.
- You will prepare teaching-related data and analyse it, create decision-making bases for the programme management as well as target group-oriented communication materials (website, LinkedIn, newsletter).
- You will be responsible for the practical preparation and implementation of events on site.
Profile
We are looking for a service-oriented and highly organised personality for this versatile role at the interface of administration, event organisation and programme coordination. The position combines administrative specialist responsibility, support of the programme management as well as coordination and advisory tasks in the continuing education environment.
- You have strong communication skills that enable you to advise students, lecturers and external stakeholders reliably and to develop practical solutions.
- You hold a university degree, preferably in spatial development or a related discipline; professional experience, further training or a doctorate are advantageous but not required.
- Experience in coordinating programmes or events is an advantage but not a prerequisite.
- You are characterised by a strong service orientation and a hands-on mentality and enjoy taking on demanding administrative tasks as well as practical tasks before and during courses.
- Advantageous: You are confident in using InDesign, familiar with plans (reading/preparing plans) and have a good graphic sense.
- We also expect a high level of service orientation, discretion and loyalty, a structured, independent and reliable working style, strong organisational skills as well as very good written and spoken German and English skills.
We offer
- A dynamic, collegial team with an open, appreciative working culture in a demanding academic environment.
- A varied range of tasks at the interface between administrative coordination and operational programme work, with scope for your own design in a small team.
- Direct collaboration with the programme management as well as insight into the strategic further development of ETH RAUM.
- Continuing education opportunities as well as numerous benefits of ETH Zurich, including discounts for public transport subscriptions, a diverse sports programme of ASVZ, childcare offers and attractive social and pension benefits.
