YOUR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
- Assuming the role of supporting welding supervision according to EN 15085-2 and ISO 3834-2 at the Bussnang site
- Ensuring welding quality and compliance with our steel suppliers (CL 1) as well as supporting internal production in the aluminium sector
- Creating and maintaining welding planning documents, work instructions, and project-related testing and production instructions
- Supporting the theoretical training of welders, plant operators, and employees in the field of non-destructive testing (NDT)
- Reviewing contract and production documents regarding manufacturability, quality requirements, proof of compliance, and adherence to relevant standards and regulations
- Welding evaluation of constructions as well as approval of drawings and production documents
- Conducting audits and First Article Inspections at national and international suppliers
YOUR PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
- Successfully completed studies (FH/University) in mechanical engineering, materials science, or a comparable field
- Qualification as a Welding Specialist Engineer (IWE/EWE) mandatory
- Several years of professional experience in a similar role, ideally in rail vehicle construction, steel construction, or an industrial environment
- Solid knowledge of welding technology; experience in aluminium is an additional advantage
- Analytical thinking, a structured working method, and the ambition to create sustainable solutions
- High quality awareness as well as the ability to pragmatically and purposefully implement technical requirements
- Enjoyment of being present on-site at suppliers, factories, and projects (willingness to travel approx. 30%)
