Are you a professional artist, actor, or musician? Would you like to work on a show for half a year in a project together with talented young people? Have you always wanted to travel through Switzerland in a caravan? Then you are exactly right here.
Circus Chnopf is a cross-genre and cross-generational project. Since 1990, we have been producing innovative open-air spectacles and touring through Switzerland in the summer. We offer young people and young artists the opportunity to further develop their talents by working with experienced artists.
The trained artists play an important role in supporting the young people and young artists. They exemplify healthy training and rehearsal behaviour. The professionals accompany the young people and young artists in the daily workflows of the touring routine. During setup and teardown, in the household, as well as before and after the shows, the professionals take responsibility for areas such as the bar, food, or props.
We offer professional artists employment for five to six months in a creative, professional environment. From the start of the intensive rehearsals, they receive a monthly salary of CHF 4,000.– minus contributions for board and lodging. The engagement is also possible as alternative civilian service. During rehearsal weekends, board and lodging are provided free of charge, but the rehearsal weekends are not paid. Expenses are covered on a case-by-case basis.
