Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the five Swiss university hospitals and ranks among the best hospital institutions worldwide according to the Newsweek 2025 ranking. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of UNIL and EPFL, it plays a major role in care, research, and training.
Within the Children’s Hospital, educational spaces are available on levels 03, 04, and 05 and are accessible to hospitalized patients, their families, and siblings.
These spaces, managed by the educational team in close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, offer a place for resources, play, creativity, and exchange, promoting the child’s development during hospitalization.
When children cannot move, the educational staff also go to their bedside to offer individualized support.
