About the job
Shaping the FutureAs part of a succession arrangement, we are seeking an experienced, entrepreneurial-minded, and persuasive leader as
Head of Corporate Management (Member of the Executive Board)
As a member of the executive board, you will actively shape the strategic and economic development of the SBV and share responsibility for the leadership and development of the entire organisation. You will lead the Corporate Management division with around 15 employees and be responsible for its personnel, organisational, and economic development. You will consistently develop the products and services of the division in line with the needs of the member companies and the challenges of the industry. In doing so, you will also contribute to increasing the resulting revenues.
Regardless of the individual interests of certain companies, you will represent the common concerns of the members with conviction towards sections, associations, authorities, politics, social partners, clients, and planners. You will bring together different interests, develop viable solutions, and position the SBV as a strong and recognised voice of the industry. Furthermore, you will shape and drive forward key developments in the industry – especially in the areas of standards and norms, public procurement, as well as digitalisation and transformation of construction processes.
For this demanding role, you possess
profound operational experience in a main construction company
and several years of leadership experience at executive board level, divisional management, or in a comparable role. You are familiar with the entire value chain of the main construction industry – from costing and acquisition to project realisation. You hold a higher education qualification in construction, ideally complemented by business administration or management training. You combine strategic foresight with entrepreneurial thinking, have strong negotiation skills, and translate strategic directives into concrete results. Thanks to your communication skills, you navigate confidently the interplay between companies, associations, politics, and other stakeholders. You understand political and association decision-making processes and act effectively even in complex structures.
You communicate fluently in German and additionally impress with very good French skills. You are familiar with the economic and cultural conditions of the German-speaking and Western Switzerland regions and know how to mediate between different perspectives. Knowledge of Italian is an advantage. You will work at the Zurich and Lausanne locations and be regularly present at both.
Are you ready to help shape the future of the Swiss main construction industry in a central leadership role? Vital Bigler looks forward to receiving your complete application documents, which you are kindly asked to submit online.
