For our office in Basel in the healthcare and laboratory construction sector, we are looking for you as a Construction Manager (m/f/d) for the New Build Department of Biomedicine (DBM) project. In an inner-city location in Basel, Implenia is realising an eight-storey laboratory building as the general contractor on the Life Science Campus for the medical future and future teaching for around 900 employees and 200 students. Your responsibilities
- As a construction manager, you lead, realise, and coordinate the fit-out trades until defect-free handover as general or total contractor
- You lead construction sites in a team and ensure that all safety, scheduling, quality, and quantitative requirements are met
- You review and accompany tenders and evaluate technical offers
- You participate in negotiations and awarding with contractors and suppliers
- You monitor quality, deadlines, and costs during construction execution
- You conduct inspections and quality checks and take over defect management
- You prepare construction journals, protocols, and ensure complete project documentation
Why you will succeed
- Further training as a certified construction manager, technician TS, architectural draughtsperson, or an equivalent education/training
- Several years of professional experience as a construction manager in fit-out and interior construction, ideally also in laboratory construction; experience in general or total contractor environments is an advantage
- Confident handling of plans and detailed drawings
- Strong organisational skills and structured self-management
- Team-oriented working style and high sense of responsibility
- Ability to reliably balance quality, costs, and deadlines
- Very good German language skills, spoken and written
- Good knowledge of Swiss standards (SIA)
