Your Responsibilities
At our global operational headquarters in Nänikon/Greifensee, we are looking for a dedicated and professionally skilled individual as a Test Engineer Product Safety 80% (all genders) for our Testing Laboratory Engineering Labs (ENL), the internal accredited testing body (STS 0009) of METTLER TOLEDO for tests within the framework of legal requirements for scales and laboratory equipment.
In this role, you will undertake the following tasks:
- You communicate directly with internal and external customers regarding product testing and accompany them from inquiry to successful completion.
- You independently conduct product tests in the area of product safety and prepare the corresponding test reports.
- You coordinate testing projects and ensure compliance with deadlines, cost, and quality objectives.
- You monitor relevant standards and regulatory requirements, implement them in the specialist area, and support certification bodies such as CSA or Eurofins during certification processes.
- You advise customers and internal contacts on standards, test methods, and possible solutions in case of deviations or preliminary tests.
- You maintain, calibrate, and further develop the devices and software solutions used for testing together with the team.

We require the following for this position:
- You have a technical basic education in electronics or electrical engineering, ideally complemented by further training at HF or FH level.
- You preferably bring experience in product safety, standards, compliance, certification, or testing.
- You are interested in technical and regulatory issues and want to develop yourself long-term in a highly specialised field.
- You communicate confidently in German and English, both orally and in writing.
- You are characterised by an independent, precise, and responsible working style as well as curiosity, willingness to learn, and team spirit.
