The National Roads Department Area VI of the Civil Engineering Office of the Canton of St.Gallen makes a significant contribution to the safety of the national roads in the cantons of Glarus, Thurgau and St.Gallen through its maintenance work.

For the Thal depot, we are looking for a

Mechanic (m/f/d)

Workload: 80%-100%

Workplace: Thal

What to expect

• Maintenance and servicing of vehicles and equipment as well as technical systems
• Vehicle breakdown service depending on urgency, also outside normal working hours (winter service, tunnel cleaning, etc.)
• On-call service in road maintenance and winter service
• Signalling work on the motorway
• Cleaning and maintenance work as well as care of the green areas at the depot
• Procurement and management of materials and spare parts

What distinguishes you

• Completed vocational training as a truck or agricultural machinery mechanic
• Truck driving licence category C/CE or willingness to obtain one
• Careful handling of machines and equipment
• High commitment, resilience and flexibility
• Team player
• Good PC skills
