Architect or Civil Engineer for the management of the Institute for Building in Alpine Areas
(80 - 100 %)
In this versatile role, you will lead the Institute for Building in Alpine Areas strategically, operationally, and personnel-wise. You acquire research projects, implement them, or collaborate in existing research projects of the respective departments. In doing so, you handle demanding analytical and conceptual issues and develop innovative solutions. You also prepare scientific publications and reports. At the same time, you teach in the Bachelor's degree program in Architecture or the Bachelor's degree program in Civil Engineering and supervise students in semester and bachelor's theses. With your strategic perspective, you also support the department management in acquiring new projects, maintaining client relationships, and other central tasks of university development. You represent the institute both internally and externally and lead it with clear visions into a successful future.
Your profile
- Master's degree (PhD advantageous) in Architecture or Civil Engineering (preferably structural engineering), complemented by an EMBA or an equivalent further education
- Experience in planning and managing demanding construction or infrastructure projects with several years of practical experience, ideally related to alpine areas
- Leadership experience of interdisciplinary teams as well as an entrepreneurial and cooperative leadership style
- Experience in acquiring, managing, and conducting research projects with an active national and international network
- Proactive and communicative personality
