About the job

The Swiss Air-Rescue Rega provides professional medical assistance from the air around the clock to patients in Switzerland and worldwide. It is a non-profit and private foundation supported by more than 3.6 million patrons. For our crew in Sion and with part-time at other Western Swiss helicopter bases, we are looking for a motivated individual to strengthen our team starting September 1, 2026. In this versatile field of operation, you can fully bring in your passion for helicopter air rescue.

These activities will inspire you

Conducting rescue and transfer flights under visual and instrument flight rules (day/night) within the country and near-border foreign countries
Ensuring safe and smooth flight operations as a crew member
Willingness to work irregular hours (on-call duties, 24-hour shifts)
Maintaining contact with partners and participating in specialist committees

This is what sets you apart

Completed vocational training or higher school diploma
Valid EASA license as a professional helicopter pilot with extensions for night flight (NIT) and Swiss mountains (MOU) as well as proven flight experience (> 2,500 hours, of which 2,000 on turbine helicopters)
If possible:
- NVIS
- Helicopter IFR EASA
- HESLO 2
- Experience in mountain air rescue
- Flight authorization on a twin-engine helicopter
Reliable, independent, team-oriented as well as physically and mentally resilient personality with a strong service orientation
Native French speaker and business fluent in German (spoken and written) as well as good understanding of English
Additional requirements:
- Valid first aid certificate
- Strong technical understanding
- Good user skills in Microsoft 365
- Age up to 45 years
