For our Finance and Accounting department at the office in Basel, we are looking for a

Financial and Accounting Specialist 80-100%

In this versatile role, you ensure the operational business in finance and accounting and specifically develop reporting, processes and systems further. You combine sound financial knowledge with a strong IT affinity and actively drive the use of Power BI, automation and AI.

Your field, where you can sow impact:

• Assisting with quarterly and annual financial statements as well as preparing the necessary evaluations
• Supporting the external audit and preparing relevant financial data
• Project management for the implementation and further development of invoicing in Abacus
• Building and further developing Power BI reports and dashboards for financial controlling
• Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, liquidity planning and multi-year planning
• Standardising and optimising financial processes and interfaces to adjacent systems
• Knowledge transfer on Power BI, Excel, automation and AI as well as participation in cross-departmental projects
• Optional: Involvement in identifying, applying for and financially managing third-party funds

You don’t need to be able to drive a tractor, but you must take the bull by the horns. Figuratively speaking. For this, you have:

• a solid education or further training in finance and accounting
• practical experience in financial statements, reporting, budgeting and financial processes
• very good knowledge of Excel and experience with Power BI
• enjoyment of digital solutions, automation, data quality and new AI applications
• an analytical, structured, independent and solution-oriented working style
• experience with Abacus or comparable ERP systems
• confident German language skills in spoken and written form; French skills are an advantage
