The Protection & Intervention department combines fire brigade and civil protection under one roof and employs around 70 staff members. The main fire department has a powerful professional fire brigade with around 50 permanent employees as well as a volunteer fire brigade with around 140 militia members. On September 1, 2026, the 18-month basic training begins. A permanent position is granted after passing the professional examination. Professional firefighters are professional service providers who are deployed as first responders in emergency situations. We are looking for a person with high social competence, assertiveness, and a flair for firefighting. We look forward to a personality that faces changes positively and welcomes them.Your Tasks
- Professional execution of firefighting operations, services, and training events
- Assistance with the maintenance of buildings, vehicles, equipment, and gear
- Managing the internal operations center
- High flexibility to regularly perform on-call duty (on-call radius 15 minutes to the main location)
Your Profile
- Age 25 - 30 years
- Completed vocational training with a federal certificate of competence or high school diploma
- Unrestricted fitness for fire service as well as high mental and physical resilience
- Willingness to live near the workplace due to professional reasons
- Driver's license categories B and C, good swimming skills
