Systems Security Specialist

About the job

In this role, you are co-responsible for managing the systems of the central infrastructure of servers, databases, and virtualization solutions, with a focus on information security, ensuring safe and efficient operation of the systems. You develop security architectures and implement protective measures. You are supported in this mission by our central cybersecurity team.

Your main tasks:

Act as a link between cybersecurity and the Infrastructure Platform Services teams

Proactively identify and assess cybersecurity risks for Platform Services

Define and implement preventive measures to avoid cyber risks

Continuously evolve protection measures in close collaboration with the business and cybersecurity

Develop and maintain concepts, guidelines, and requirements regarding infrastructure security

Be the technical reference for information security questions in the Infrastructure Platform Services domain

We are looking for a communicative, team-oriented, and analytical personality who is not afraid of complex environments and shares our passion for an agile work environment. You quickly understand new topics and are highly motivated to deepen new subjects. You also stand out with an excellent understanding of the dependencies between different architectural components.

You bring:

Master's degree in cybersecurity or computer science, with additional training/certifications in cybersecurity

Several years of experience in enterprise infrastructure roles with a cybersecurity focus or in technical cybersecurity functions

Extensive experience in setting up, hardening, and operating enterprise Microsoft and Linux environments, databases, as well as virtualization solutions such as VMware, Kubernetes, Citrix, etc.

Experience in offensive security (security audits, pentesting, CTF, etc.) and expertise in securing Azure / Microsoft 365

Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and standards (e.g., ISO / IEC 270xx, NIST) and risk management

Cooperative, action-oriented mindset and practice of agile working methods

Excellent communication skills in German and English
