Are you a broadly skilled System Engineer with an interest in Identity & Access Management topics? As a member of the Security, Identity & Access team, you will be jointly responsible for the further development of the ZHAW-IAM products.

Our team is responsible for the areas of IT Security, Identity & Access Management (SIA) and is therefore involved in various projects concerning the entry, change, and exit of employees and students. We are responsible for the orderly process of various business processes and the operation of IT Security.
Are you interested as a System Engineer in these topics and ready to take responsibility in our team for the following tasks:
- Operation, life cycle management, and continuous improvement of our Identity & Access Management (IAM) system and the associated IT infrastructure (mainly in the Microsoft environment)
- Connecting software solutions to the IAM system and implementing the technical requirements developed with stakeholders, including interfaces
- Supporting the SIA team within the framework of 2nd level support regarding IAM topics and coordinating 3rd level support with external partners
- Supporting the SIA team in cross-cutting topics in the areas of Security and IAM Supporting our IAM consultants in planning, designing, and implementing identity & trust technologies and their processes within ZHAW
- Technology consulting on the IAM and engineering topics learned with us in a versatile university environment
Thanks to your drive and experience, you will contribute closely with our agile ICT teams as well as technical and subject matter experts and business stakeholders to the realization of requirements in the IAM environment and IT security.
In doing so, you will make a significant contribution to the satisfaction of our students, employees, and stakeholders as well as to the overall success of ZHAW.
To successfully take on this exciting challenge, you need:
- Ideally, a completed higher education or further training in computer science, business informatics
- Solid experience as a System Engineer
- Initial experience with Identity & Access Management systems and a strong interest in independently deepening IAM topics
- Affinity for IT security topics and interest in contributing to the team as needed
- Experience managing directory services such as Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft Entra
- Interest in SQL and willingness to independently learn scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python
- Networked thinking and holistic understanding regarding company-wide IAM products and processes
- Confident analytical and conceptual skills as well as a structured approach
- Convincing communication skills to convey facts appropriately to the target group and subject matter
- Team player with a mediating attitude and solution-oriented thinking and acting
- Negotiation-level German skills, at least language level B2
