Responsible for Financial Accounting (m/f/d)

Role:
Do you want to take responsibility in finance and accounting while also working operationally? In this role, you are an important contact person within the finance team and, together with your colleagues, ensure reliable processing of financial accounting. Besides professional coordination, you take on diverse tasks around bookkeeping, financial statements, evaluations, and financial processes. You can contribute your experience, support employees, and actively help shape the further development of the finance department.
Responsibilities:
You coordinate the ongoing financial accounting and ensure correct and timely processing of business transactions
You assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual closing tasks and provide the necessary documents
You manage the accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger accounting as well as other areas of financial accounting
You monitor payment transactions and keep an eye on liquidity and relevant financial movements
You maintain the asset accounting and ensure correct recording and reconciliation of assets
You prepare tax returns and handle other finance-related declarations
You participate in audits and various projects in finance and accounting
You contribute to the optimisation and further development of financial processes and systems
You support employees with professional questions and accompany new team members during onboarding
You work closely with various internal contacts and take on additional tasks in the finance area as needed
Qualifications:
You have a commercial education and have further trained in finance and accounting or bring comparable practical experience
You have several years of professional experience in financial accounting and know the processes of a professional finance organisation
You have good knowledge of Swiss accounting and are familiar with closing tasks
You work confidently with ERP and financial systems
You like to take responsibility and enjoy professional coordination and supporting employees
You communicate fluently in German; additional language skills are an advantage
