Wädenswil is an attractive town on the left shore of Lake Zurich with around 26,000 inhabitants. Approximately 380 employees work in the city administration, providing comprehensive services to the population on a daily basis.
The Asylum and Housing Support is part of the Social Services department within the Social Affairs division. It is responsible for the financial support, care, and accommodation of asylum seekers assigned to the town of Wädenswil by the cantonal social office. The Asylum and Housing Support also offers minimal housing support for other groups of people living in various properties rented by the Social Services.
We are looking for a new team member to start immediately or by arrangement:
Your areas of responsibility include
- Organisation and coordination of admissions and departures in collective accommodation facilities
- Independent case management and provision of financial support to asylum seekers in accordance with the Asylum Care Ordinance and internal guidelines
- Advice and support for persons from the asylum sector in social, personal, and financial matters
- Support for persons in assisted living with everyday challenges/issues in the area of "housing": focus on coexistence, promotion of administrative self-competence, housing search, housing applications
- Conflict management
- Collaboration with various internal city departments, third parties, and specialist organisations
- Use of various specialised applications (including KLIBnet, CMI, Axians Infoma Newsystem) for case management and administrative tasks
- Setting up and maintenance of accommodation facilities as well as undertaking simple repair, maintenance, and furnishing tasks
Your profile
- Completed training, preferably in the social field
- Completed training as a migration specialist with a federal professional certificate or an equivalent qualification in the social sector
- Professional experience in the asylum/migration or social sector is desirable
- Good user knowledge of MS Office, knowledge and/or experience with specialised applications
- Good German language skills, additional languages are an advantage
- Knowledge and experience in dealing with authorities
- Empathetic, self-reflective personality who values teamwork
- Physical and mental resilience as well as assertiveness and flexibility
- Manual dexterity
- Category B driving licence is mandatory
