The Climate and Environment department is part of the Department of Urban Development and Environment and develops concrete projects in the areas of environment, climate, and sustainability within the framework of urban and landscape development and implements them. This also includes the energy concept, raising public awareness, as well as the maintenance and enhancement of natural and landscape areas.

Your tasks
- Implementing the Neobiota action plan and serving as the Neobiota officer for the City of Baden
- Leading projects in the environmental sector, such as contaminated site remediation (construction projects or protection of sensitive goods)
- Raising public awareness on nature, environmental, and climate topics as editor of umweltblog.baden.ch, in the environmental cockpit and on baden.ch, as well as through campaigns, events, and actions
- Participating in planning and construction projects by incorporating ecological and climatic concerns
- Promoting nature-oriented maintenance and enhancement of public green spaces in the settlement area
- Reviewing building applications related to environmental design
- Preparing applications and proposals for the city council and/or municipal council
Your profile
- Completed studies in environmental natural sciences/biology at ETH or in the fields of environment/natural resources/life sciences/landscape architecture at university or college level
- Extensive professional experience and broad knowledge and interest in nature and environmental protection
- If possible, knowledge in sustainable development, climate protection, and climate change adaptation
- Experience in project management and implementation of (interdisciplinary) projects
- Independent working style as well as strong communication (oral and written) and organizational skills
- Initiative, responsible, and team-oriented personality
