Your tasks

• Leading international consulting projects independently or as part of a team
• Independent or team-based implementation of training and capacity building activities
• Management and coordination of internal as well as international activities, including budget planning and reporting
• Support and further development of outreach and communication activities
• Participation in the expansion and maintenance of the global IRCC network
• Support of the IRCC research agenda in the areas of federalism, decentralisation, local self-government, human and minority rights, democratisation and constitutional development, especially (but not exclusively) focusing on the Global South

The position is limited to 4 years (with the possibility of extension if funding is secured).

Desired profile

• PhD in law, political science, economics or a related discipline
• Research experience in the IRCC’s focus areas, especially in comparative federalism
• Relevant experience in international consulting, training and capacity building
• Extensive experience in international project management
• Solid experience in research and in acquiring research funding
• Willingness to travel within Europe and worldwide
• Excellent English skills as well as very good knowledge of German or French
