The Institute of Federalism (IFF) is a nationally and internationally recognised centre of expertise for multilevel governance, democracy, the rule of law and human rights. Your tasks
- Leading international consulting projects independently or as part of a team
- Independent or team-based implementation of training and capacity building activities
- Management and coordination of internal as well as international activities, including budget planning and reporting
- Support and further development of outreach and communication activities
- Participation in the expansion and maintenance of the global IRCC network
- Support of the IRCC research agenda in the areas of federalism, decentralisation, local self-government, human and minority rights, democratisation and constitutional development, especially (but not exclusively) focusing on the Global South
The position is limited to 4 years (with the possibility of extension if funding is secured).
Desired profile
- PhD in law, political science, economics or a related discipline
- Research experience in the IRCC’s focus areas, especially in comparative federalism
- Relevant experience in international consulting, training and capacity building
- Extensive experience in international project management
- Solid experience in research and in acquiring research funding
- Willingness to travel within Europe and worldwide
- Excellent English skills as well as very good knowledge of German or French
