Assistant Professor with Conditional Tenure Track
Job description
This is a full-time position comprising the equivalent of six hours of teaching per week, as well as the supervision of research groups in physics education. Teaching will be primarily provided at the IUFE (University Institute for Teacher Education) and will focus on the training of secondary school teachers.
Within the Faculty of Science, teaching and service activities will preferably be oriented towards highlighting the role of physics in society. The person holding the position is expected to act as a liaison between secondary school teachers and the Faculty of Science.
Required qualifications and skills
PhD in science education; PhD in physics or an equivalent qualification; research experience and publications in physics education in international journals. Experience in school teaching is a definite asset.

Within the Faculty of Sciences, teaching and outreach activities should preferably emphasise the role of physics in society. The successful candidate will also serve as the primary contact person between secondary school teachers and the Faculty of Sciences.
REQUIREMENTS : A PhD in science education; a PhD in Physics, or equivalent; research experience and publications in physics education in international journals. Experience in school teaching is an additional asset.
