About the job
Construction Manager for Industrial Construction Projects 100% (m/f/d)
The Galvaswiss Group operates the largest hot-dip galvanizing plants, paint shops, and powder coatings in Switzerland as well as a location in southern Germany. For our industrial and construction projects within the group, we are looking for a dynamic TS/HF technician or HTL/FH engineer to accompany and coordinate project activities. This position is ideal for practically minded and technically skilled applicants who enjoy skillfully and efficiently implementing industrial production processes and plant engineering requirements in construction. The optimization of our infrastructure and industrial plants is always the focus. In handling individual projects, you will work closely with the respective site managers and will be supported by experienced colleagues from the group depending on the project's focus. At all plant locations, either smaller technical or large-scale construction projects need to be realized. A high willingness to travel is required. Individual solutions or flexible models that, for example, allow a focus on deployment at a specific location and adequately consider individual needs can be found.
What to expect from us:
- Development, renovation, and new construction projects within our group at existing buildings and facilities at various locations (Bern, Thurgau, Basel, and southern Germany)
- Project and construction management including tenders (quotations)
- Supervision and control of construction work on site
- Coordination and assumption of all activities related to construction administration, especially organization of deliveries as well as scheduling and ensuring compliance with these
What you bring:
- Completed training in the construction trade or in metal, mechanical, and plant engineering (ideally construction management school, university of applied sciences, HTL/FH, or technician TS/HF, etc.)
- High willingness to travel (depending on the project location, you may be away from home several days a week)
- Affinity for industrial and plant construction and interest in our craft
- Organizational talent and cost awareness
- Detail- and solution-oriented approach
- Solid CAD skills and confident handling of all MS Office applications
- Good German language skills in spoken and written form, other languages are an advantage
What we offer you:
- Participation in the management salary system as well as attractive compensation corresponding to competence and qualification
- Company car with private use option
- Heavily subsidized own staff restaurants at all plants
- Very good social benefits
- Partly (free) fitness subscriptions and various corporate benefits
- Training and development opportunities
- High degree of freedom in project organization and plenty of room for independence and initiative
- Variety due to the diversity of projects and the travel opportunities associated with the position
