Freight Forwarding Clerk | Sea Freight Import & Export Administrator

Initial Situation

Sea freight is your daily business – you have containers, bookings and transit times under control. For this role, we are looking for a person who independently organises import and export shipments, keeps an overview and communicates confidently with international partners. If you work in a structured way and appreciate global transport processes, you will fit perfectly into this environment.

Tasks

• handling FCL and LCL shipments in import and export
• creating and checking transport, freight and customs documents
• coordinating with shipping companies, truckers, warehouses and international partners
• monitoring transit times, bookings, cut-off times and status reports
• processing enquiries, deviations and special cases
• maintaining and updating all shipment-relevant data in the TMS
• supporting customers along the entire transport chain

Requirements

• completed training as a freight forwarding clerk or comparable qualification
• mandatory professional experience in handling sea freight transports
• good knowledge of international transport logistics and customs processes

IT

MS Office - good knowledge

Languages

German: spoken and written very good
English: spoken and written good to very good
additional languages advantageous
