The Road Maintenance Department of the Department of Construction and Environment is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the cantonal roads. The employees of the Schwanden depot ensure the availability and safety of the cantonal roads in the southern canton area and in the Klöntal in all weather conditions and at all times of the day.

We are looking for a

Head of Schwanden Depot 100%

immediately or by arrangement, with the workplace at Schwanden depot.

Tasks

• Planning and coordination of operational maintenance work on the cantonal road network of the Schwanden depot
• Management and responsibility for winter service deployment including on-call duty
• Planning and leadership of deployments of personnel, machines and equipment
• Operational management and supervision of contract drivers and subcontractors
• Ensuring vehicle and equipment maintenance
• Operational and condition control of the infrastructure on the responsible cantonal road network
• Collaboration in the depot team on site

Requirements

• Basic vocational training, preferably in construction
• Leadership experience at the level of construction foreman or equivalent
• Driving licence category B or C1 (category C/CE advantageous)
• Willingness for on-call duty and enjoyment of working outdoors
• Teamwork skills, reliability and integrity
• Residence within 15 km distance to Schwanden depot
