About the position

At our plant in Zurich Oerlikon, you develop and design innovative products and components for the energy transmission of the future. In this role, you work closely with engineering, production, purchasing and project management and accompany technical solutions from the concept phase to successful implementation. With your technical know-how and creativity, you make an important contribution to the quality, efficiency and further development of our products.

What you can achieve

• Creating and maintaining 3D models, assemblies, manufacturing drawings and parts lists for products and components

• Developing, designing and optimising technical solutions taking into account quality, costs, deadlines and manufacturability

• Technical support for production, purchasing, quality and project management on design-related issues

• Conducting feasibility studies, technical calculations and tolerance analyses

• Collaborating on product adaptations, new developments as well as the standardisation of components and assemblies

• Maintaining and managing technical documentation, drawings and master data in the relevant systems

• Cooperation with internal and external interfaces for the successful implementation of development and customer projects

• Active participation in continuous improvements of products, processes and design standards

What you bring with you

• Completed training as a designer EFZ or comparable technical basic training with appropriate further education

• Experience in the design of technical products, ideally in an industrial environment

• Good knowledge of CAD systems (e.g. Creo, Inventor, SolidWorks or comparable) as well as experience with ERP and PLM systems

• Structured, analytical and solution-oriented working method as well as a pronounced technical understanding

• Team spirit, communication skills and enjoyment of working with different departments

• Very good German skills as well as good English skills in spoken and written form
