As Head of Category Management SubCo, you bear the strategic responsibility for material and supplier development in the areas of building technology, waste disposal, construction & craft services, facility maintenance, and security. In this key role, you lead and coach two Category Managers, negotiate framework agreements with existing and new partners, and ensure continuous optimization of the supply chain through KPI monitoring, compliance assurance, and expenditure analyses. You support operational teams in supplier selection and cost reduction, drive CSR and sustainability initiatives, and contribute to national and international projects.
Your main tasks:
- Strategy & Implementation: Further development and implementation of the material and supplier strategy in your categories and roll-out in the regions
- Leadership & Coaching: Leading and coaching two Category Managers as well as being the central contact person for SubCo
- Negotiations & Framework Agreements: Conclusion and updating of framework agreements for services and materials with existing and new suppliers
- KPI Monitoring: Monitoring relevant key figures (costs, quality, delivery reliability) and deriving proactive measures
- CSR & Sustainability: Promoting transparency and development in the areas of safety, CSR, and innovations
- Compliance & Process Discipline: Ensuring proper application of global and local contracts as well as continuous optimization of the supply chain
- Operational Support: Supporting operational managers in supplier selection, platform usage, and cost reduction
- Analysis & Optimization: Conducting expenditure analyses and initiating improvement projects
- Reporting & Budget: Preparing reports on cost reductions, budget planning, monitoring, and forecasting
- Integration & Projects: Participating in the integration of new client mandates as well as in national and international projects
Your profile:
- Completed commercial or technical basic training with further FH education in purchasing or supply chain management
- Several years of experience in strategic purchasing/category management, ideally in the SubCo environment
- Proven leadership experience and strong project management skills
- Analytical thinking, affinity for numbers, and structured working style
- Strong negotiation skills and high social competence
- Very good knowledge of ERP systems and MS Office
- Fluent in German, confident in French and English, Italian is an advantage
