We are currently looking for a Technician, Quality Control Labs (m/f/d) to strengthen our team in Schaffhausen as soon as possible. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring compliance with all relevant quality and compliance requirements for our medical products.
A typical workday in this position includes:
- Conducting systematic quality controls to ensure that only specification-compliant items and semi-finished products are passed on internally and to customers – in compliance with all compliance requirements for medical devices
- Conducting initial sample inspections as well as quality controls for incoming goods and products
- Creating deviation reports and implementing corrective, corrective, and preventive measures in the area of quality control
- Creating change requests for the creation and optimization of documents in the area of quality control
- Managing the quarantine storage as well as organizing and carrying out the archiving of relevant documents
- Supporting the qualification of tools, equipment, and measuring instruments as well as controlling and releasing master and verification labels; collaborating on internal and cross-departmental projects
WHAT YOU BRING TO ALCON:
- Completed vocational training in the technical or precision engineering field
- Fluent German skills in spoken and written form; English skills at least at level A2/B1
- Residence in Schaffhausen or immediate surroundings as well as a valid work permit for a position at the Swiss location
- Experience or training in handling measuring instruments
- Knowledge of SAP and proficient use of MS Office
- Independent organization of workflows in coordination with supervisors as well as internal and external interfaces
- Structured and responsible working style with a high quality orientation
- Willingness to work in a rotating shift system, consisting of:
- Early shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
- Mid shift: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- Late shift: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
