Department Head Cleaning 100%Correctional Services and Reintegration (JuWe) is part of the Directorate of Justice and the Interior of the Canton of Zurich and employs around 1,400 women and men with diverse professional profiles. JuWe is responsible for criminal and measure enforcement as well as the implementation of various types of detention. For JuWe employees, the successful social reintegration of offenders and the prevention of recidivism are of particular importance.
The Uitikon Measures Center (MZU) is the socio-pedagogical-therapeutic competence center of JuWe for the criminal and measure enforcement of juvenile and young adult offenders.
For our Hospitality-Housekeeping operation, we are looking for a committed, socially competent, and resilient leader as Department Head Cleaning and Deputy Operations Manager Hospitality-Housekeeping starting 01.10.2026 or by agreement.
Your tasks
- You hold the professional responsibility for the cleaning area. You ensure an efficient and smooth daily operation
- You professionally lead up to four employees
- With your effective deployment planning and monitoring of correct processes, you ensure optimal resource utilization
- You represent the operations manager during their absence and participate in interdisciplinary meetings
- You are responsible for the vocational training of juvenile and young adult offenders in your area
Your profile
- You have completed basic training as a specialist in cleaning technology EFZ, formerly building cleaner EFZ, or similar
- Thanks to your several years of professional experience, you navigate the workday confidently and routinely
- Ideally, you already have leadership experience
- You enjoy training and supporting apprentices and have already gained initial experience in this
- Ideally, you possess the SVEB training or are motivated to complete it soon
- You master the German language confidently in spoken and written form and are proficient in using MS Office applications
- You are physically and mentally resilient and remain calm and composed even in challenging situations
- Your reputation is impeccable and you are at least 28 years old
