The counseling center of Aargau Visual Aid offers professional assistance for people with visual impairments in the canton of Aargau. Our services include counseling in the areas of social work, low vision, daily living aids, as well as rehabilitation measures in orientation and mobility and practical life skills.

We are looking for a

Head of Counseling Center / Social Worker 80-100%

Your tasks

Personnel planning, development, and quality assurance

Responsibility for achieving performance targets according to the sub-service contract with SZBLIND

Further development of the counseling center

Counseling for blind and visually impaired people and their relatives

Professional engagement with the challenges caused by visual impairment

Support in asserting claims against social insurances (AHV, disability insurance, etc.)

Interdisciplinary collaboration with our vision pedagogical service and our day special school for vision as well as with external specialist agencies

Your profile

Degree from a university of applied sciences Bachelor of Arts in Social Work

Professional experience in the field of visual impairment or disability services

Leadership experience and enjoyment of working in a team

Fluency in oral and written expression

Enjoyment of networked, independent work and creative solutions
