Your Tasks
The main tasks will be to conduct measurements on a scanning electron microscope for imaging of surfaces and with an energy-dispersive X-ray (EDX) spectroscopy extension for elemental analysis. The maintenance of the electron microscope as well as contact with internal and external customers are part of the service provided by this position within the unit. Furthermore, powder X-ray diffraction measurements and, to a small extent, thermoanalysis and other general services to the department are part of the tasks for this position.
Your profile
Applicants must have completed a technician apprenticeship or possess an equivalent qualification. Some previous experience with handling an electron microscope will be important. Additional experience with powder X-ray diffraction will be beneficial. Candidates are expected to be fluent in English and have good oral and written communication skills, as well as proficiency in handling computer software.
