About the job
The Office for Debt Enforcement and Bankruptcy of the Canton of Thurgau, with its five district debt enforcement offices and the bankruptcy office, is a central service provider within the cantonal administration. Around 100 employees, apprentices, and interns are committed in two specialised areas to competent, efficient, and citizen-oriented task fulfilment.To strengthen our young and open team at the Bankruptcy Office Frauenfeld, we are looking for a dedicated and responsible individual as of 1 January 2027 or by arrangement as a
Bankruptcy Administrator
Your tasks
As a bankruptcy administrator, you independently and responsibly manage various bankruptcy proceedings and accompany them from opening to conclusion. These include in particular:
- independent management of corporate, private, and estate bankruptcies
- recording and administration of inventories
- handling debtor collections
- realisation of movable and immovable assets
- conducting property realisations
- examination and ranking of claims
- preparation of ranking and distribution plans
- correspondence and negotiations with debtors, creditors, and other parties involved in the proceedings
- collaboration and exchange with trustees, lawyers, and other professionals
- negotiations with prospective buyers
- independent handling of all other tasks related to the conduct of bankruptcy proceedings
A thorough introduction is guaranteed
As part of forward-looking succession planning, you will be comprehensively and practically introduced to your new area of responsibility over approximately 12 months. This gives you the opportunity to gradually familiarise yourself with the diverse tasks and specific procedures of the bankruptcy office and to acquire valuable expertise. The position is initially temporary due to the planned retirement of the current post holder. Subject to good performance, suitability, and mutual interest, a permanent continuation of employment is envisaged thereafter.

You are a good fit for us if you...
- have completed a legal or comparable education, or a commercial vocational training, or an equivalent education/training and have already gained professional experience.
- preferably already have knowledge in the area of debt enforcement law or are willing to further specialise.
- demonstrate strong social skills and life experience.
- are a team-oriented, service- and solution-focused personality.
- are resilient and have good assertiveness.
- possess very good communication skills and fluency in written and spoken expression.
- hold a category B driving licence (an e-fleet vehicle is available).
