Medical Radiology Technician in the Radio-Oncology Department
To temporarily strengthen its team, the radio-oncology department, which offers each patient personalised care and high-level treatments based on comprehensive management and cutting-edge technologies, is looking for a Medical Radiology Technician between 80% and 100%, starting 1 August 2026 or as agreed.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
For over 10 years, CHUV has initiated the development of Clinical Centres dedicated to oncology. Focused on the interdisciplinarity of medical skills and CHUV care professionals, these Centres, currently numbering nine, revolve around the management of a specific type of cancer. Two new Centres are also currently under development.
Mission
- You support patients and assist them throughout their care in the department
- You collaborate within a multidisciplinary team and ensure the services and quality of care
- You perform treatments in renovated premises, equipped with a state-of-the-art technical platform including: CT scanner, planning system (TPS), Tomotherapies, linear accelerators with IGRT, stereotactic radiotherapy, CyberKnife as well as HDR Ir-192 brachytherapy
- You implement measures to ensure treatment safety
- You participate in the development of new treatment techniques
- You actively participate and contribute to the projects and reputation of the department.
Profile
- You hold a Bachelor of Science HES-SO as a Medical Radiology Technician or an equivalent qualification
- You demonstrate precision and rigour
- You have good listening skills, empathy, and interpersonal skills
- You are recognised for your spirit of mutual aid and collaboration
- You are able to adapt to new techniques.
