About the job
Deutsche Bahn is not only one of the most important mobility service providers but also one of the largest engineering firms in Germany. To realise and sustainably maintain new bridges, tunnels, stations, tracks, and signalling systems, more than 10,000 engineers currently work with us – far from enough. As an engineer at Deutsche Bahn, you can plan, manage, or supervise something that lasts: the infrastructure for future generations.
Your tasks:
- As part of the team, you support the project management in implementing infrastructure projects, especially in switch heating and track field lighting projects, from the planning phase to project completion
- You are the contact person for all persons, companies, and authorities involved in the projects
- In cooperation with the respective project manager, you independently take on partial tasks, such as organising plans, site visits, or coordination meetings as well as their documentation
- Your tasks include data maintenance in the relevant project management systems such as Doxis and iTWO throughout the respective service phases
- You support the team in meeting deadlines, costs, and quality
Your profile:
- Successfully completed technical or university degree as an electrical engineer, civil engineer, transport engineer, industrial engineer, or in a comparable course of study
- You bring professional experience in project management, ideally in construction during operation in the railway sector
- In addition, you are confident in using MS Office applications and have knowledge of specialised programmes such as SAP, iTWO, BBPneo, and Doxis
- Goal-oriented, economical action as well as commitment and high initiative are among your qualities
- You are a team player, work in a structured manner, and keep an overview even in stressful situations
