About the job
The National Roads Department Area VI of the Civil Engineering Office of the Canton of St.Gallen makes a significant contribution to the safety of the national roads in the cantons of Glarus, Thurgau, and St.Gallen through its maintenance work. For this purpose, the area unit has four depots in Thal, Mels, Biäsche, and Oberbüren as well as two support points in St.Gallen and Müllheim.

What to expect
- Independent recording and maintenance of fiber optic data in the cableScout® system
- Design and documentation of rack and mounting layouts as well as master location management in technical rooms
- Support of project management and external specialist engineers in planning and implementing fiber optic projects
- Digitization and preparation of plan bases from projects
- Responsibility for managing and continuously updating the fiber optic master data
- Active promotion of knowledge exchange with all relevant stakeholders
What distinguishes you
- Technical basic training in the telecommunications environment
- Experience with software, ideally in the infrastructure sector, especially networks, communication technology, and electrical engineering systems
- Independent, structured working style with strong team and communication skills
- Experience in handling technical documentation
