What you can achieve
• Implementation, operation and troubleshooting of complex network and security infrastructures
• Configuration, commissioning and fault analysis in network, firewall and security environments
• Implementation and demonstration of solutions in virtualised network environments
• Active and independent participation in complex projects for RUAG and its customers
• Implementation, configuration and maintenance of network monitoring tools, including defining metrics, alerts and dashboards, integrating solutions into network infrastructures and optimising systems for proactive problem detection
• Contribution to the continuous improvement of network and security services
What you bring with you
• Degree in computer science, ideally with ICT-specific further training
• At least 5+ years of experience in the network field, Cisco CCNA level or equivalent knowledge in routing and switching is necessary
• Firewall and security knowledge with practical experience in configuration and commissioning
• Practical experience with Cisco and Check Point Maestro product families
• Knowledge of storage systems, databases and experience with virtualisation is an advantage
• Analytical and solution-oriented thinking with initiative and assertiveness
• Communicative, committed and reliable team player with a strong service and customer orientation
• Very good German skills, good English skills (B2)
• Willingness for on-call duty, standby and irregular working hours if required (driving licence class B)
