Job description
The University of Geneva is looking for its Accounting and Financial Management Division for an Accounting Manager 80% to 100% notably responsible for the following tasks:
- Ensure and control the keeping of accounts according to the rules defined by the laws mentioned above (point 10.2) or according to the directives of the hierarchical superior
- Ensure compliance with accounting procedures
- Prepare, allocate and justify all accounting operations, as well as all correction and adjustment entries necessary for proper account keeping
- Perform compliance checks and manage reconciliations during closing operations with involvement and responsibilities related to the internal control system
- Manage funds and financial reporting for all University donors
- Involvement in annual closing work, notably with the assistance of the fiduciary in the context of its external audit work
- Provide the necessary information for maintaining operational dashboards
Required qualifications and skills
- Professional maturity or equivalent qualification,
- 5 years of professional experience in accounting and finance,
- Proficiency in office tools, especially Excel,
- Experience with accounting software, notably SAP (S4)
- Ease with office tools (Excel),
- Accuracy, ease with numbers,
- Good interpersonal skills and written and oral communication.
- Good stress resistance
