Job description

The University of Geneva is looking for its Accounting and Financial Management Division for an Accounting Manager 80% to 100% notably responsible for the following tasks:

• Ensure and control the keeping of accounts according to the rules defined by the laws mentioned above (point 10.2) or according to the directives of the hierarchical superior
• Ensure compliance with accounting procedures
• Prepare, allocate and justify all accounting operations, as well as all correction and adjustment entries necessary for proper account keeping
• Perform compliance checks and manage reconciliations during closing operations with involvement and responsibilities related to the internal control system
• Manage funds and financial reporting for all University donors
• Involvement in annual closing work, notably with the assistance of the fiduciary in the context of its external audit work
• Provide the necessary information for maintaining operational dashboards

Required qualifications and skills

• Professional maturity or equivalent qualification,
• 5 years of professional experience in accounting and finance,
• Proficiency in office tools, especially Excel,
• Experience with accounting software, notably SAP (S4)
• Ease with office tools (Excel),
• Accuracy, ease with numbers,
• Good interpersonal skills and written and oral communication.
• Good stress resistance
