Job Overview

Within the Supply Chain organisation at the Huntsman site in Monthey, we are looking for a motivated Logistician to join our logistics team and contribute to the smooth flow of goods within a demanding industrial environment.

In this role, you will actively participate in the operations of receiving, handling, storage, preparation and shipping of raw materials and finished products. You will contribute to operational performance while ensuring strict compliance with safety rules, quality requirements and the Group's EHS standards.

Your Responsibilities

• Apply and promote Huntsman’s EHS standards as well as the principles of the Zero Harm programme across all your activities.

• Identify and report risk situations, and actively contribute to the continuous improvement of safety on site.

• Ensure compliance with internal procedures as well as quality and regulatory requirements related to logistics operations.

• Receive, inspect and store raw materials, packaging and finished products in accordance with current procedures.

• Participate in labelling, palletising, handling operations and the use of storage facilities.

• Prepare orders for internal and external customers by performing picking and shipment preparation operations.

• Participate in loading and unloading vehicles in compliance with ADR requirements and transport security rules.

• Ensure management and traceability of physical and IT goods movements.

• Collaborate with Production, Supply Chain and Transport teams to ensure smooth logistics flows and stock reliability.

• Participate in inventories and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at optimising the site’s logistics performance.

Profile Sought
Education

• Federal Logistics Certificate (CFC) or equivalent training.

• Any additional training in logistics or Supply Chain is an asset.

• Experience

• Initial experience in a logistics, industrial or production environment.

• Experience in the chemical, pharmaceutical or manufacturing industry is appreciated.

• Experience with warehouse management tools (WMS) or ERP is an advantage.

Technical Skills

• Forklift licence recognised in Switzerland is mandatory.

• Good command of warehousing and handling activities.

• SAP knowledge appreciated but not mandatory.

• Awareness of constraints related to hazardous goods and the industrial environment.

Working Conditions

• Position based at the Monthey site.

• Daytime working hours.

• Some flexibility in working hours may be occasionally required, depending on activity needs and in accordance with Swiss legislation in force.

• Work within an industrial and logistics environment in daily contact with production and supply chain teams.
