About the job
What if you helped us design a more inclusive society?
Located in the Vevey region, between town and countryside, the Cité du Genévrier welcomes adults with intellectual disabilities. Its vocation as a generalist institution in the field of intellectual disability also offers more specific services (in the areas of multiple disabilities, autism, or Prader-Willi syndrome).
Integrated into the Eben-Hézer Foundation, the Cité du Genévrier is the custodian of the moral will of its founder, Sister Julie Hofmann. It therefore considers the happiness of the people it welcomes as the ultimate goal of its work.
Mission
The L’Alisier group offers residential care for two residents with moderate to severe intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, behavioural disorders and/or associated disorders. This facility represents an innovative form of care for people in complex situations. It aims to facilitate the transition of people with disabilities who are struggling to integrate into an ordinary community. The people welcomed will come from their homes, the minor sector or the hospital sector. Support in the resident’s socio-educational projects will aim to contribute to the person’s well-being and skills development by offering activities in the following areas:
- Initiation and learning related to daily habits and community life
- Development of new or emerging skills linked to life projects
- Work on communication, autonomy and self-determination
- Work and learning around structuring, anticipation and environmental adaptation
- Sensory exploration
To complete the educational team, we are looking for a social educator (M/F).
