The EOC, the multisite hospital of Ticino, is present with its institutes throughout the entire cantonal territory with a total of 1,000 beds. The Institute of Integrated Diagnostics of Italian Switzerland (IDISI) brings together the Clinics of Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, Pathology and Laboratory Medicine and, with its approximately 600 collaborators and nearly 4 million examinations and analyses performed each year, offers a complete and high-quality diagnostic service, meeting the needs of patients residing throughout the cantonal territory.

Surpassing traditional specialist barriers, IDISI adopts a multidisciplinary approach to promote more efficient and personalised diagnostic-therapeutic pathways, capable of responding specifically to the individual needs of each patient.

Furthermore, the Institute is oriented towards university teaching and the promotion of biomedical research.

The Radiology Clinic performs over 260,000 examinations annually, thanks to the effective integration of the skills of its 45 doctors and 150 radiology technicians and a state-of-the-art technological infrastructure.

Medical Candidate - Radiology Clinic

Profile:

The internship is aimed at students enrolled at a Swiss or foreign University of Medicine. The medical candidate will assist the Radiologist in carrying out daily reporting activities, managing emergencies, performing ultrasounds and participating in multidisciplinary meetings.

Necessary requirements:

• Enrolled in a medical faculty of a Swiss or foreign University.
• Medical candidates from the 4th to the 6th year of study are admitted to the internship.
• Not yet graduated or licensed to practise.
• Aptitude for human contact, motivation to work with patients, communication skills and flexibility.
• Excellent knowledge of spoken and written Italian and possibly a second national language.
• Knowledge of main IT tools (Office package).

Start date:

Depending on availability of places (maximum one medical candidate per month per site).

NB: internships at the Radiology Clinic are organised for a full month. Please specify the desired period (month/year) and site (Lugano; Bellinzona; Mendrisio; Locarno) in the motivation letter.
