As the largest municipality in the canton of Solothurn, the city of Olten faces diverse urban development challenges. For the Civil Engineering Department, we are seeking, due to the retirement of the current postholder as of 1 March 2027, a qualified and committed individual to ensure the structural maintenance and operation in the civil engineering sector for various infrastructure projects.

Construction Manager Infrastructure Facilities Civil Engineering (100%)

Your area of responsibility

As a construction manager in the infrastructure sector, you are responsible for the structural maintenance of public playgrounds, green spaces, and school facilities as well as outdoor and bicycle parking facilities. You plan and oversee minor renovation measures on traffic areas and wastewater systems and ensure their professional execution. In doing so, you coordinate the work involved with internal and external parties and ensure compliance with applicable standards, regulations, and quality requirements. Additionally, you supervise the work on site and contribute significantly to the safe and sustainable maintenance of public infrastructure.

Your profile

You have completed training as a civil engineering technician TS with professional experience, as a draughtsperson EFZ specialising in civil engineering, or as a construction foreman SBA or HFP. You bring several years of professional experience and possess knowledge in general civil engineering. You are skilled in oral and written communication with authorities and private individuals, as well as being a team player and resilient. Furthermore, you work confidently with common IT applications such as Office 365; CAD knowledge is an advantage. Your negotiation skills, sociability, assertiveness, and organisational talent complete your profile.
