Project Manager for Reversions
Office of Energy and Transport | 80-100% | Chur
The Office of Energy and Transport is the cantonal competence center for issues related to the energy and public transport sectors. The exploitation of hydropower and other renewable energy carriers as well as sustainable and efficient use of energy are among the central topics of the Office of Energy and Transport. We are responsible for preparing approval requests for concessions and projects for the exploitation of hydropower.
For the Office of Energy and Transport, we are looking for a project manager for reversions starting July 1, 2026, or by agreement.
Responsibilities
- Collaboration in the implementation of the cantonal strategy regarding hydropower
- Project management of various reversion cases, both as project manager and as the canton’s representative on reversion commissions
- Thematic coordination of issues related to the valorization and management of the cantonal portfolio of hydropower plants as well as the development of corresponding structures
- Preparation of decision-making bases related to reversions and concession renewals
- Economic evaluations of hydropower companies
- Consulting municipalities on reversion issues, communication with municipalities
- Coordination with external service providers and sector partners on reversion matters
- Management of data from individual hydropower plants (acquisition, analysis, and management) in view of reversions
What we expect from you
- University or university of applied sciences degree in construction or energy, preferably with additional legal knowledge.
- Several years of professional experience in the energy sector
- Interest in interdisciplinary collaboration, skills in negotiation and contact with authorities, sector partners, and associations
- Experience in independently developing conceptual issues
- Excellent command of the German language, both spoken and written
- Good knowledge of several cantonal languages is an advantage
