About the job
Accompany young people on their journey: (Trainee) Intern (80%) wanted in our Binz residential group!
The Youth Network Foundation offers outreach as well as (partly) residential psychosocial support for young people, young adults and families. Our services are individual, needs- and impact-oriented – from outreach family support to supported youth living arrangements to supervised residential groups.
Residential group offer: You want to gain insights into social work and not only accompany but also make a difference? Then you fit well with us. In our residential group team, you work with people who are committed to young people and families with heart, attitude and professionalism.
We support young people in challenging life situations – often when the challenges are great and resources scarce. Our work begins where relationships are built and have an effect, where change becomes possible.
What you bring
• strong in relationships, professionally sound – that’s how we accompany
• build genuine, sustainable relationships, even when it gets difficult
• able to endure challenging situations and still remain confident
• work together in a team, professionally, humourously and with perseverance
• joy in accompanying young people and their families
• the conviction that change is possible when there is relationship, trust and the will to change
• willingness to work irregular hours (including weekends) – because young people’s lives do not only take place during classic office hours
• willingness to reflect and inner stability – you know your limits and what supports you
• a confident, empathetic manner – you are present and reliable
• very good German skills in spoken and written form
• we are an active residential group – driving licence category B is an advantage
If you combine professionalism with humanity and enjoy accompanying young people on part of their journey – then we look forward to hearing from you.
What to expect
• involvement in key worker work with the young people
• a lively, varied residential group daily routine with scope for creativity
• a committed and supportive team
• regular intervisions, team and case discussions, supervisions and professional coaching
• competent practical guidance and regular practical instruction discussions
• early work planning – because your life outside work also matters
• contemporary social pedagogy in an environment that promotes development and sees diversity as a strength
• good work should pay off – clear salary structure according to cantonal salary table and attractive allowances for evening hours, Sundays/public holidays and weekends
